FieldTransfer Guide
Create a reusable relationship once, then copy from the source page and paste into the mapped target page whenever you need it.
1. Create a transfer profile
Open the extension popup, enter a name for the relationship and create a new profile. A profile represents one reusable source-to-target workflow.
2. Teach the source page
Open the page you want to copy from, select the profile and start Source learning. Click each field, table cell or text element you want to capture. Give the selected item a short field name such as patient_name, birth_date or record_id.
You can finish learning with ESC or the Finish button in the on-page teaching panel.
3. Teach the target page
Open the destination page, select the same profile and start Target learning. Click the target field. A small chooser appears near that field and lists the source fields already learned. Select which source value should be written there.
4. Copy
Return to the source page, choose the profile and use Copy from this page. FieldTransfer reads the learned source selectors and stores the resulting transfer data locally in Chrome.
5. Paste
Open the destination page, select the same profile and use Paste to this page. The mapped values are written into the learned target fields.
Supported field behavior
- Text inputs and textareas
- Select/drop-down controls
- Checkboxes
- Radio groups
- Contenteditable fields
- Table cells and normal text as source values
- Selected page text as a source field
If a website changes
FieldTransfer stores CSS selectors. A dynamically generated or redesigned page can invalidate a previously learned selector. If one field stops working, start the relevant learning mode again and reteach that field.
Free version limits
- Maximum 2 saved transfer profiles
- Profiles remain in local browser storage
